A National Call to United Prayer For
South Africa
One Hour. One Heart. One Nation. For Christ Alone.
We are living in a time of great gospel opportunity .
Never in history has the Church witnessed such a mighty harvest of souls, as around the world, God is drawing people to Himself. The Church is growing rapidly across Africa. Millions of Muslims are quietly coming to Christ. House churches are multiplying across Asia. For the first time in history, Christian presence is in every nation on earth; God is moving.
Now is the time for us, the Church in South Africa to seek Him with one heart.
We issue a clarion call to every believer, every church and every denomination to gather in groups for united prayer.
We need God. Families are breaking down. Crime and violence bring fear. Corruption is growing. Poverty has left many without hope. Many children are raised without fathers. Our nation is divided.
The Church also needs renewal. We have often been divided, distracted and slow to pray. But God has done it before.
Throughout history, whenever God's people humbled themselves, turned back to Him and prayed together, God brought spiritual awakening.
He will do it again.
We Must Pray.
“We issue a clarion call to every believer,
every church, and every denomination, to gather in groups for united prayer.”
“if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
The South african focus
We long to see South Africa transformed by the power of God. We pray that the Church will awaken from spiritual slumber and return to humility and wholehearted devotion to Jesus Christ.
We pray for unity across every denomination, language, culture and generation.
We ask God to visit our nation with the power of the Holy Spirit, bringing repentance, salvation, healing, discipleship and the multiplication of healthy churches.
We pray that every province, city, town and village would experience the presence of God.
We pray for strong men, families and transformed communities and a mighty harvest of souls.
We pray that South Africa would become a missionary-sending nation, raising one-million labourers to take the gospel to every unreached people group.
the eleventh hour
Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few." The harvest is ready, and the Master is still calling workers into His harvest field; we are the eleventh hour harvesters in preparation for Jesus’s return. (Matthew 9:37–38, Matthew 20:1–16)
We believe this is a time of great gospel opportunity. Now is the time to humble ourselves, seek God's face, and pray for a fresh outpouring of His Spirit.
Now is the time to fulfil the Great Commission till every nation, tribe, people and language has heard the gospel.
